Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda recently launched his co-star Jay Patel's debut book, Barrister Mr. Patel, on the special occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 150th birth anniversary. The book, co-written by filmmaker Abhishek Dudhaiya, offers a fresh perspective on one of India's most admired leaders. Sharing the emotional origin of the book, Randeep recalled a call he received from Jay Patel two years ago. Jay had been standing outside Sardar Patel's house in London, deeply moved by the experience. He told Randeep, "The world knows Sardar as the Iron Man of India, but very few know about his brilliance as a student and his journey as a world-class barrister."

Randeep encouraged him to bring that lesser-known story to life. "I told him, 'You must write that story.' That's how the title Barrister Mr. Patel was born," Randeep said at the launch.

Highlighting Sardar Patel's Untold Journey

The book dives into the courage, intellect, and fierce determination of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Rather than focusing only on his role as India's unifier, it takes readers back to his formative years from a bright law student to a visionary leader who shaped independent India. Randeep expressed pride that today's youth will get to rediscover Patel's wisdom, fearlessness, and sacrifices.

The Hooda Patel Collaboration

Randeep and Jay share a history of working together. They previously collaborated in Randeep's directorial debut, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, where Jay portrayed Indian revolutionary Shyamji Krishna Verma, the founder of India House.

Randeep was last seen in Jaat, alongside Sunny Deol, Regina Cassandra, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Saiyami Kher.
