The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) on Tuesday posted a 19 per cent growth in its overall trade volume to 28,178 million units in the April-June period of FY25. The exchange achieved 23,680 million units (MU) overall trade volume in the year-ago period. BSF troops shot dead a Pakistani intruder near border outpost Sadqi in Abohar sector, officials said on Tuesday. Security forces on Tuesday recovered arms and ammunition during a search operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, police said. Based on specific inputs from Kupwara Police, the search operation was launched by security forces in general area of Nangari Forest, Dardpora Kralpora, in the north Kashmir district, a police spokesman said. He said a cache of arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered which included eight AK magazines, 445 live AK rounds, a pistol, three pistol magazines, 13 live pistol rounds and a hand grenade.

The country's coal output was 73.92 MT in June last fiscal, according to provisional figures of the government.
