The Webb Space Telescope has captured a pair of intertwined galaxies glowing in the infrared. The observatory operated by NASA and the European Space Agency photographed the two galaxies 326 million light-years away, surrounded by a blue haze of stars and gas. A light-year is 5.8 trillion miles. The pictures, released Friday, marks the second anniversary of Webb's science operations. Delhi Water Minister Atishi has said the ongoing repair work on the Munak Canal is likely to be completed by Friday night. A breach in one of the sub-branches of the Munak Canal, which supplies water from Haryana to Delhi, late Wednesday led to knee-deep waterlogging in several parts of the Bawana area. It also affected the water supply in different parts of the city. Ireda Q1FY25 results: Net profit surges over 30% to Rs 383.69 crore

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (Ireda) on Friday reported over 30 per cent growth in its net profit to Rs 383.69 crore for the June quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues. "IREDA has achieved Profit After Tax of Rs 383.69 crore (in Q1), marking an impressive year-on-year growth of 30.25 per cent," a company statement said. The Sukhoi Superjet 100 went down in the Moscow region, according to Russian emergency officials.
