JSW Energy Q1 results: PAT jumps 80% to Rs 522 cr on higher thermal biz

JSW Energy on Friday posted an 80 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 522 crore in the April-June quarter, mainly due to higher profitability in thermal business and incremental contributions from renewables. "Profit After Tax (PAT) or net profit surged 80 per cent YoY (year on year) to Rs 522 crore, up from Rs 290 crore in the same period last year, driven by higher profitability in the thermal business and incremental contribution from RE capacity additions. Production, despatch ops briefly halted due to global IT outage: Maruti

Auto major Maruti Suzuki India on Friday said it was partly affected by the global outage of Microsoft systems and production and despatch operations halted briefly. The company, however, said it has been able to resume operations. "A global IT issue affected several companies across several countries today. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is unlikely to allow senior players Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi to play in the upcoming Global T20 Canadian League, citing a busy international calendar. The PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi held discussions with coaches Jason Gilliespie and Gary Kirsten, who were also not in favour of allowing these players to participate in the GT20, informed a reliable source in the board. Blue Dart Express Q1 results: Net profit declines 13% to Rs 53 crore

Logistics company Blue Dart Express on Friday reported 12.82 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 53.42 crore for June quarter 2024-25. The company had logged a net profit of Rs 61.28 crore in April-June FY24, according to a regulatory filing by Blue Dart Express. However, revenue from operations was up 8.5 per cent to Rs 1,342.71 crore from Rs 1,237.55 crore a year ago. Total expenses in June quarter FY25 were higher by 9.81 per cent to Rs 1,279.76 crore.
