Football season and the return of your favorite network TV shows are just around the corner. When it comes to CBS, you can stream it all on Paramount+. If you haven't picked up a subscription yet, you're in luck since you can get 50% off Paramount+ annual plans for a limited time only.
Paramount+ is the streaming home for all things CBS, from flagship dramas like Blue Bloods and Criminal Minds to the 100 regular season NFL games scheduled to air on the network this season. It also has every match of Europe's elite Champions League soccer tournament. Paramount+ offers all of that in one place for those without cable, plus several original shows, Showtime perks, and other live TV options, depending on which plan you choose.
Until September 23, 2024, both tiers of Paramount+ are available for half-off if you sign up for an annual contract. Below, we've outlined the exact savings and highlighted what you'll get with each available Paramount+ plan. And no matter which option you choose, you can try it out for free for one week.

Paramount+ Essential is available for just $30 (compared to the usual $60), while Paramount+ with Showtime is listed for $60 (compared to the usual $120). If you choose either of these plans, you'll pay the fee upfront (after the seven-day free trial is over) and receive Paramount+ for an entire year. Subscriptions will renew at whatever the standard rate is this time next year.
What comes with a Paramount+ Essential plan?
The Paramount+ Essential plan is all about on-demand content. The plan offers the entire catalog of CBS and Paramount+ original shows, and several recently released films from Paramount Pictures. While live streaming CBS is reserved for the next tier, which we dig into below, the Essential plan does allow subscribers to live stream all of CBS' NFL games (as long as they're broadcast on your local CBS station).
This is also the case for live UEFA Champions League matches. You won't be able to watch your favorite CBS dramas and comedies live, but they'll be available to stream on-demand with this plan by the next day. The Essential tier comes with ads for both live and on-demand content.
What comes with a Paramount+ with Showtime plan?
As you might have guessed from the name, the Paramount+ with Showtime tier offers all Showtime original TV series and movies in addition to the full suite of CBS and Paramount+ content. Everything on-demand is available to watch ad-free. However, the biggest game changer for the With Showtime plan is the ability to live stream your local CBS station 24/7. This means you can watch every new episode of NCIS or Big Brother live without having to wait until the next day.
As with the Essential plan, you can watch all of the available NFL on CBS games live through your local CBS affiliate. The With Showtime plan means that this will also be true for other major games held on the network, including March Madness and select weekend WNBA games.
Who is eligible for the deal?
New and former subscribers are eligible for the Paramount+ annual deal. This means that if you've had an account in the past, you can still get the deal if you commit to an annual plan. However, only new subscribers can access the free trial, so former subscribers will be billed immediately after they sign up.
