Manager confirms Aston Villa target is very close to leaving, deal could be official soon
Aston Villa are closing in on the capture of the Levante full-back Andres Garcia.
The West Midlands club are signing him in a deal worth around €9.25 million. The 21-year-old is highly rated across Europe, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the Villans.
They need to add more quality and depth to their defensive unit and they have been linked with multiple full-backs. Garcia would be a long-term addition for them. He is capable of slotting into the role of a wing-back as well as a winger. His versatility could be a bonus for Aston Villa in the long term.

Levante manager Julian Calero has now claimed to Superdeporte (h/t SportWitness) that the player’s move away from the club is 99% done. Meanwhile, reports claim that the deal could be made official soon.
“I am happy for the group. I do not want pessimism to set in. Of course, if players leave in the market we will not like it. Andrés is 99% out. But we will regroup and move forward.”
It remains to be seen whether he can hit the ground running in English football. He will be competing with Matty Cash for the starting spot and he will look to establish himself as a key player for Emery.
