Over 6: Another bowling change in the form of Siddarth Kaul and he finishes Hyderabad’s powerplay overs with a tidy over, giving away just four runs. RR 35/1
Over 5: Sandeep Sharma back in the attack and Ajinkya Rahane is looking to target the Punjab pacer. Hits a lofted drive over the infield for a couple before crunching one wide of extra cover on the charge for a four. Nine runs off it, the best so far. RR 31/1
Over 4: A successful first over for Rashid Khan as Jos Buttler – in an attempt to play the sweep – loses his leg stump. Big strike for SRH and smart captaincy by Kane Williamson. Sanju Samson is the next man in and Rashid troubles the Kerala batsman as well. 7 runs off it. RR 22/1
Over 3: Bhuvneshwar Kumar showing some aggression against Jos Buttler. Couple of pitched up deliveries is followed by a sharp bouncer. Unfortunately, it is called a wide, but a good ball nevertheless. Issues with the spider-cam for Buttler as well. But he is off the mark with a well-timed push past the extra cover fielder. Seven off the over. RR 15/0
Over 2: Sandeep Sharma has the new ball and this is good from Hyderabad. He is a swing bowler and was not utilised in the first match and right away he gets swing. Five runs off it as Ajinkya Rahane and Jos Buttler being watchful at the start. RR 8/0 in 2
Over 1: And we are underway. Bhuvneshwar Kumar with a tidy over first up. Just three runs off it

Hello and welcome to our match coverage of the Match 8 of the Indian T20 League between Hyderabad and Rajasthan at the Rajiv Gandhi international stadium, Hyderabad on Friday with both teams searching for their first win.
Had it not been for Andre Russell’s blazing knock at the Eden Gardens in their season opener, Hyderabad were well and truly on course for victory. It was a game in the bag for last year’s finalist after a brilliant batting display from the returning David Warner, who scored a brilliant 85 before his 53-ball stay was cut short by Russell. But Hyderabad failed to defend 181 with Russell (49* off 19) and Shubman Gill (18* off 10) taking Kolkata home with two balls to spare.
Rajasthan failed to score 39 runs in the last four overs of the run-chase in their previous match against Punjab – a run-chase which was derailed by Ravichandran Ashwin’s ‘controversial’ dismissal of Jos Buttler.
Both teams will want to start afresh, but with Hyderabad having home advantage, can Ajinkya Rahane and Co. spoil the party for the Orange Army. Let’s wait and find out!
Ahead of today’s IPL match, here is the major talking point.
Warner vs Smith
One year after they were banned for ball-tampering in a Test match in South Africa, Warner and Smith will meet in the IPL. The pair – never again to be named Australian captain and vice-captain – have played in T20 leagues in Canada, Bangladesh and the Caribbean over the past 12 months but this is where the focus is: the IPL, the biggest franchise cricket tournament in the world.
Warner and Smith are towering figures for SRH and RR respectively, both as top-order batsmen and tacticians. Whatever happens on Friday, plenty of focus will be on these two Australians.
