IND VS ENG: Rohit Sharma expressed his frustration by tossing his cap in disappointment when Ravindra Jadeja ran out debutant Sarfaraz Khan on the first day of the 3rd Test against England. On the following day of the Rajkot match, the Indian captain playfully teased the hometown hero with his typical humor and charisma. Rohit delivered a witty comeback after Jadeja faced consequences for his repeated no-ball infractions in the final session of the 3rd Test against England.
Rohit Sharma displayed confidence in fast bowler Mohammed Siraj during the 29th over, supporting his decision by initiating a review against England’s Ollie Pope. India reaped the reward with the dismissal of the Hyderabad-born batsman after the review was successful. Following the implementation of India’s short-ball strategy against England’s aggressive hitters, captain Rohit entrusted the ball to Jadeja for the 30th over. Rohit expressed visible dissatisfaction with Jadeja after the all-rounder committed two overstepping errors while bowling to new batsman Joe Root in the same over.
In a light-hearted moment during the match, Rohit Sharma playfully teased his Clasico rival Ravindra Jadeja about his bowling performance. Offering support to Jadeja, Rohit jokingly suggested that he should bowl as he does in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), where he doesn’t bowl as many no-balls. “Hey, Jadeja, you don’t usually bowl this many no-balls in the IPL. Treat it like a T20 game and bowl,” Rohit quipped during the final session. This humorous exchange between the two players quickly garnered attention on social media platforms.

In the third Test at Rajkot, India posted a formidable total of 445 runs in their first innings, courtesy of centuries by captain Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. Rohit led from the front with a stellar knock of 131 runs, while Jadeja shone with a brilliant hundred on his home ground. As England took to the crease, they found themselves trailing India by 238 runs at the start of Day 3.
