Paphos Chamber of Commerce welcomes marina agreement

The Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Eve) has welcomed the signing of an agreement between the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and a consortium that will move the Paphos marina project forward.

Specifically, the agreement involves the provision of consulting services related to the competitive tender process for the development of the Paphos Marina.

“After many efforts, a project of vital importance for the Paphos district is entering the implementation phase,” Evep said.

In more detail, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and Deloitte Triton Paphos Marina Consortium last week signed a 30-month contract to oversee the tender process for the Paphos marina development.

The contract aims to select a strategic investor to develop the marina using the DBFOT method (design, build, finance, operate, transfer).

Deputy Minister Kostas Koumis underlined the project’s significance for Paphos, saying that it will enhance the island’s tourism offering.

The marina, to be built in Potima, Kissonerga, could host 1,000 boats and include residential and commercial developments.

Moroever, the project is expected to be announced within 12 months and completed by the end of 2026.

“The Paphos Marina will significantly improve our tourism product, boost the local economy, and bring multiple benefits,” the chamber said.

“Paphos will be placed on the maritime map, creating the conditions for attracting further investments,” Evep concluded.
