Nicosia Erasmus+ Festival celebrates multiculturalism
Celebrating Nicosia’s multiculturalism and the European youth mobility programme is the Nicosia Erasmus+ Festival on October 19. The Municipality of Nicosia, in collaboration with the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes (IDEP), invites all organisations involved in Erasmus+ programmes to participate in the festival, as well as the general public to come and see the programme’s actions up close.
Held on Makarios Avenue, the festival will run all day long, kicking off at 11am and lasting until 7pm. Schools, universities, education and training centres, educators and trainers, youth organisations, students, citizens and volunteers are invited to participate and organise various activities such as demonstrations, seminars, games, presentations, exhibitions and more, to showcase their work, skills and talents.
Throughout the festival, there will be music, a DJ and a presenter who will coordinate and introduce each programme. In between, there will be performances, entertainment and dances for both children and adults. The celebrations in Nicosia are part of Erasmus Days, a series of events held in numerous Municipalities around Cyprus on the Erasmus+ projects.
Events will also happen in Agia Napa on October 15 (5pm-8pm at the Cultural Centre), in Athienou on October 16 (5pm-9pm at the Nikos Mougiaris Hall), in Aradippou on October 16 (10am-12pm at the Tasos Mitsipoulos Lyceum) and on October 18 (5pm-8pm at the Apostolou Louka square), in Curium on the same day (6pm-12.00am at Marios Toka square in Erimi) and in Paphos on October 19 (10am-1pm in Kennedy Square).
