New Israeli ambassador in Nicosia appointed

The Israeli foreign ministry on Sunday named Aviv Ezra as their new ambassador in Cyprus.

He will replace Oren Anolik in August 2026 if his appointment is approved by the Cyprus government, when the latter will have completed his placement.

Until now, Ezra has served as deputy director general for Asia and the Pacific at the Israeli foreign ministry.
