L.A. sheriff’s deputies shoot and kill Lakewood man
A 34-year-old man was shot and killed by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday, according to authorities.
Homicide investigators responded to reports of a deputy-involved shooting Thursday around 12:15 a.m. in the 15000 block of Paramount Boulevard, near Somerset Boulevard, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Paramedics arrived at the location and pronounced the suspect dead.
He was later identified by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Juan Alvarez.
