Coachella 2025: Inside the exclusive headliner merch booths for Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone
Miguel Rojas and Erika Corona escaped the throng at the Lady Gaga merch booth, precious prizes in hand.“She’s only here for Lady Gaga,” Rojas said of his friend, both of whom had come from Mexico City for their first Coachella.
“I’m for Lady Gaga, Charli xcx, Tiesto.”
Corona had the neon yellow $100 Gaga hoodie that made fans of her exclusive Coachella merchandise easy to spot on Friday when Gaga headlined the festival, and a T-shirt too. Rojas bought a scarf and fan from the booth.
The headliner exclusive merch has taken off here in recent years, with booths featuring designs representative of the artists. Gaga’s was the same neon yellow as the hoodies, with random point spikes attached to some walls and slogans such as “Mayhem In The Desert,” of walls and merch alike.
Post Malone, who headlines Sunday night, built a rusty roadside gas station facsimile from which they sell gear that included such Posty wardrobe essentials as a fringed poncho and distressed sweatpants, both $125.
Green Day, who headlined Saturday, had a more minimalist booth but cool T-shirts, including a “Dookie”-themed T-shirt altered to reflect their first-ever Coachella performance, a bargain at $45.
Josh and Emmalea Griffith of Nevada City planned on attending the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival this year regardless of the lineup. But the presence of Green Day, of whom they’ve been fans since “Dookie” came out when they were in middle school, made the trip for Mortherm California even sweeter.

“When I was in sixth grade, I remember a kid wearing the ‘Dookie’ shirt, and I was like, ‘Whoa,’” Emmalea Griffith said.“Now our kids are starting to get into Green Day,” Josh Griffith said of their children ages 6, 10 and 12, who were at home.
“That’s who these T-shirts are for,” he added, holding up three identical Green Day shirts he’d just bought at the booth.
Over at Posty’s truck stop, Los Angelenos Roberto Gomez and Robert Martinez had picked up a few things of Sunday’s headliner. “I like the variety of genres he can do,” Martinez said. “He can go from country to R&B, rock to rap.”
