The Indian Congress has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for cancelling the UGC-NET exam, claiming that the government cannot conduct an examination without leaks and frauds. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh criticized the government's handling of the exam, stating that the integrity of the National Testing Agency (NTA) is under severe doubt.

PNB Housing Finance shares tumble nearly 5% after large block deal

Shares of state-owned PNB Housing Finance dropped 4.8% to Rs 800 in early Thursday trading on the BSE, after a block deal where 1.36 crore shares changed hands. Asia Opportunities Fund and General Atlantic likely sold a 5.2% stake at a floor price of Rs 773, an 8% discount from the previous close of Rs 840.

Artificial intelligence (AI) company Unikon AI has raised $2 million in a funding round led by Zerodha cofounder Nikhil Kamath, Lenskart cofounder Peyush Bansal, Shiprocket cofounder Vishesh Khurana, Noise cofounder Gaurav Khatri, among others. Unikon.AI is the latest venture by Aakash Anand, the founder of the D2C personal care startup Bellavita, which was acquired by Mumbai-based Ananta Capital.
