Zepto funding: Zepto to double dark stores count to 700 taking on rivals Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart and Big Basket’s BB Now. DST Global, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Avenir Growth Capital and Avra join as new investors in Zepto. Existing investors Glade Brook Capital, StepStone Group and Nexus Venture Partners led the funding round. About 40% of funding came from new investors.

Arvind Kejriwal bail: Delhi High court allows urgent hearing of ED's plea against trial court order

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has moved Delhi High Court against a trial court's order to grant bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged excise policy case. The court granted Kejriwal bail on a ₹1 lakh bond, and the Enforcement Directorate's plea to stay his bail order for 48 hours was declined. Kejriwal was out on bail for 21 days and surrendered to Tihar Jail authorities on June 2.

Sun Pharma inks pact with Takeda to introduce gastrointestinal drug in India

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries announced a licensing deal with Takeda Pharmaceutical to market Vonoprazan, a novel gastrointestinal drug, in India.
