Social activist Medha Patkar has moved to the Sessions court to challenge a defamation case against her by Delhi's lieutenant governor, VK Saksena. Patkar was sentenced to five months in jail and a Rs 10 lakh fine. She was granted one month's bail to challenge the trial court judgement. The Court of Vishal Singh will hear her appeal on Monday.

Tata-owned Vistara is offering 20 minutes of complimentary Wi-Fi on its international flights, making it the first Indian airline to offer this service. Vistara's international flights use wireless connectivity powered by Panasonic Avionics, enabling internet access on Wi-Fi-enabled devices at 35,000 feet.

Two Pakistani ministers, Muhammad Aurangzeb (Finance) and Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Laghari (Energy), are in Beijing to discuss rescheduling Pakistan's debt related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The Supreme Court scheduled a hearing on July 29 for the Enforcement Directorate's plea against Jharkhand High Court's decision to grant bail to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a money laundering case.
