Thirteen cases of Zika virus were reported in India by July 22, 2023, with 3 from Karnataka and 10 from Maharashtra. Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel stated that the Centre has an 'Action Plan for managing Zika Virus Disease' and provides states with budgetary support for preventive measures and public health actions during outbreaks.
