Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary announced that the government and RBI are working to expand the global reach of UPI, which is currently available in seven countries. The RBI’s Payments Vision Document 2025 includes global expansion of UPI and RuPay cards as a key goal. Efforts involve collaboration with international stakeholders and institutions. UPI is now operational in Bhutan, Singapore, the UAE, France, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.

Insolvency resolution at the National Company Law Tribunal averaged 716 days in the last fiscal, up from 654 days in 2022-23. Delays beyond the stipulated 330 days were mainly due to litigation. The corporate affairs ministry revealed percentage variations in realisable amounts, indicating persistent issues in the resolution process.



Over 5,200 money-laundering cases registered by ED since 2014: Govt

From 2014 to 2024, the Enforcement Directorate registered over 5,200 money-laundering cases, achieving 40 convictions and 3 acquittals. Minister Nityanand Rai provided this data in Parliament. Similarly, 8,719 cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act were recorded, resulting in 567 acquittals and 222 convictions.

The operating earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and ammortisation (EBITDA) rose 25.5% YoY to Rs 343 crore. The EBITDA margins rose 190 basis points to 18.4%.Hospital revenues, which constitutes over 83% of overall revenues, increased 14.4% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 1,549 crore led by 10% YoY and 4% QoQ increase in average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) per day during the quarter to Rs 65,924.
