According to the founder of the troubled edtech firm, loss of control over the company’s accounts following SC staying NCLAT’s decision has stopped the founders from infusing more capital to pay the salaries. On August 14, the Supreme Court stayed the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal’s (NCLAT) order that approved the settlement deal between Think & Learn Pvt Ltd, the parent company of Byju's, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The Supreme Court has approved the auction of Samrudhhi Realty's assets to recover around Rs 5000 crore in debt. However, any auction involving assets from Essel Finance Advisors and Managers LLP will be subject to the outcome of an ongoing appeal. Essel Finance had challenged a National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) decision that upheld the National Company Law Tribunal's (NCLT) order for Essel to cover part of the liquidation costs.

Assembly polls: Haryana seeks over 200 companies of central forces
