Increased heat unlikely to impact wheat crop: IMD

0
The IMD assured that the increase in maximum temperatures will not affect the harvest-ready wheat crop. India is bracing for extreme heat from April to June, particularly in central and western regions, according to IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra. While no heatwave warning exists for wheat-producing states except Madhya Pradesh, temperatures rising to 42 degrees Celsius are expected there next week.
