Indian Air Force (IAF) Chinook and Mi-17 helicopters will participate in an Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) drill on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir. This marks the first such exercise in the region. The 3.5-km emergency landing strip at Wanpoh-Sangam was completed last year as part of a collaboration between the IAF and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The drill aims to demonstrate coordination between civil agencies and the IAF.
