Gogoi was holding a rally along with Rahul Gandhi during Nyay yatra in Assam on the day of Ram Mandir congregation in January this year. Sarma alleged that it is a kind of appeasement politics towards the Muslim society that Gogoi is trying hard, but Sarma added that the Muslims need development and jobs.
