Six newly-elected MPs from Bihar, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh were sworn in as members of the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. Among them were Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh from Bihar, Sarfaraz Ahmad from JMM, and Pradip Kumar Varma from BJP representing Jharkhand. BJP members Banshilal Gurjar, Maya Naroliya, and Balyogi Umeshnath, all from Madhya Pradesh, also took their oaths in Hindi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other prominent leaders, witnessed the oath-taking ceremony in the House.
