A young Indian cricket team led by Shubman Gill, under the guidance of National Cricket Academy head VVS Laxman, departed for Zimbabwe to participate in a five-match T20I series beginning on July 6 in Harare. The squad includes promising youngsters like Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma, who earned their maiden call-ups following impressive performances in the recent IPL. Gill, who was a reserve opener for the T20 World Cup, joined the squad directly in Harare after a break in the US.
