Beneficiaries of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Karnataka would begin receiving Rs 2,000 from Tuesday. Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar cited delays caused by technical issues as the reason for the disruption in payments for June and July. Launched in August, the scheme was a major pre-election promise by the Congress party.
