A study by IPE Global Limited and Esri India Technologies identified Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Tripura as the top states for heatwave incidents from 2013 to 2022. Heatwave days significantly increased in the plains and hills but declined in coastal regions due to cyclonic activities. Heat-related fatalities during this period totaled 10,635.
