State Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda revealed upcoming reforms in land registration aimed at easing governance and reducing wait times. Starting September 2nd, registrations can be done at any sub-registrar office within a district. The state is also considering reinstating a ban on non-agriculturists purchasing farmland, reversing 2020 changes made by the previous government.
