India is expected to surpass the US in the number of software developers by 2027, driven by its growing IT services sector, expanding startup ecosystem, and advancements in artificial intelligence, according to Thomas Dohmke, CEO of GitHub. India currently ranks second with 15.4 million developers, and its rapid growth is attributed to its vibrant open-source software community and innovative startups.
