The Government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (K) Nikki faction have agreed to extend their ceasefire agreement for another year, effective from September 8, 2024, to September 7, 2025. This extension aims to foster lasting peace in Nagaland with the involvement of the Naga people. The ceasefire ground rules will be reviewed and amended mutually.
