Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan visited Assam to review the law and order situation and the progress of border agreements. Mohan also reviewed the implementation of peace accords and Assam's success in countering insurgency, drugs, and other crimes. It was decided to expedite the implementation of border agreements with Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.
