J&K Bank has appointed Amitava Chatterjee, currently Deputy Managing Director at State Bank of India, as its new MD and CEO, effective December 30, 2024. Chatterjee will succeed Baldev Prakash, whose term ends on December 29. Chatterjee has over three decades of banking experience, holding various strategic positions and previously serving as MD and CEO of SBI CAPS.
