China has approved building a mega dam in Tibet on the Yarlung Tsangpo river, which becomes the Brahmaputra in India. The project might reduce water flow to India and Bangladesh. The dam aims to generate 300 billion kWh of electricity annually and will support solar and wind energy development, focusing on green energy.
