Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence reported five Chinese military aircraft and five naval vessels operating around Taiwan early on Friday. The planes entered Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone. Taiwan monitored the situation. There are international concerns over the increasing Chinese military activities, as expressed by Japanese and NATO officials, regarding peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
