Vodafone has sold its Italian unit to Swisscom for 8 billion euros as part of its Europe-wide restructuring. Proceeds will be used to reduce debt and benefit shareholders. Vodafone also plans to keep providing services to Vodafone Italy for up to five years. The company is focusing on cost-cutting and 5G network expansion.
