In Chhattisgarh's Bastar region, four Maoists were killed in a gunfight. The encounter involved the Special Task Force and the District Reserve Guard. One DRG head constable was also killed. Union home minister Amit Shah aims to end Maoist presence by March 2026. Operations and development are simultaneous strategies against Maoists.
