Surgical Oncologist Vishal Rao suggests that having a flu shot and three doses of COVID-19 vaccine may provide immunity against the Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV). HMPV does not spread through talking or breathing but requires precautions due to its droplet-based transmission. Currently, there are no vaccines available for HMPV, and cases have been identified in India.
