Taiwan detected eight aircraft and six naval vessels from the People's Liberation Army near its territory on Sunday. Seven of the aircraft crossed the median line into Taiwan's northern and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zone. The Ministry of National Defence monitored the situation and responded. This follows similar detections on January 11 involving five PLAN vessels.
