India secured a convincing seven-wicket win over England in the first T20I at Eden Gardens. England was restricted to 132 thanks to India's spin trio and pacers. Abhishek Sharma shined with a 20-ball 50, ending with 79 off 34 balls. The second T20I will be held on January 25 in Chennai.
