Ahmedabad-based architect Chandrakant Sompura, who has been involved with the Ram Temple project in Ayodhya since 1980, has been awarded the Padma Shri by the Centre. Sompura comes from a lineage of temple architects and has worked on numerous temple projects in India and abroad.
