India aims for 1,800 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2047 under its 'Viksit Bharat@2047' vision, as announced by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi. The government also targets achieving 500 GW by 2030 and has seen significant growth, with a nearly 200 per cent increase in installed capacity from 2014 to now.
