Some federal employees were surprised to see a message in their email inbox on Wednesday presenting them with an offer to resign from their positions in exchange for about eight months of pay. The subject line of the email to federal employees was 'Fork in the Road'. It echoed Elon Musk's approach to thinning out Twitter's staff in 2022.
