India has allocated Rs 2,150 crore to Bhutan as development aid in its Union Budget for 2025-26, under its 'neighbourhood first' policy. Nepal and the Maldives will receive Rs 700 crore and Rs 600 crore respectively. The total overseas development partnership portfolio amounts to Rs 6,750 crore, with a significant portion earmarked for immediate neighbours.
