Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan has questioned China's claim of possessing a sixth-generation fighter jet, stating that such platforms are still in development. He pointed out the lack of verifiable evidence and suggested that China’s claims may be strategic posturing. He also highlighted India's progress on its own fifth-generation AMCA project. As global powers race for air dominance, Chauhan emphasised the importance of AI, data analytics, and networking in next-generation warfare.
