The Supreme Court has mandated that Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan must compensate construction workers affected by construction halts due to anti-pollution measures in Delhi-NCR. Compensation should be paid using labour cess funds, even without a specific court order. The states have begun the process of disbursing this compensation.
