Indian Railways has opened advance ticket bookings for the Christmas holiday season to help passengers avoid last-minute rush. Travelers can book through the IRCTC website or mobile app. Starting October 1, 2025, Aadhaar authentication will be mandatory for general tickets booked within the first 15 minutes of the reservation window opening.
