The Hungarians had trained extensively on the Danube in their homeland ahead of the rare race on the river rather than the more typical lake contest and that proved to be a smart move. "I think it was really good preparation in how to swim a river and gave us a good advantage to know where and how to swim in the Seine," said Rasovszky. Rasovszky, the reigning world... These new habits are part of a global wellness boom, but the traditional concept of "yangsheng" -- literally meaning "cultivating one's life force" -- has given the trend a unique cultural twist in China. In Shanghai, Annie Huang sat in a trendy cafe-like establishment that sold traditional herbal teas, sipping a bitter concoction purported to protect the body against the summer heat. After being bundled out of last year's World Cup in the group stages, the Wallabies slumped to 10th in the world as high-profile coach Eddie Jones quit to take a post with Japan. Former Ireland coach Joe Schmidt was appointed to take over, with his calm, measured approach in stark contrast to the more mercurial Jones, who alienated most of the Australian rugby public by the end of the World Cup campaign. Those decisions sent the yen soaring to just under 142 per dollar and caused... Читать дальше...
