NFL mock draft from CBS has Travis Hunter dropping out of the top-3
It’s the thing that happens in the NFL Draft, right? The quarterback-starved teams sometimes reach for a QB, and an all-around amazing athlete like Heisman Trophy-winner Travis Hunter get bumped down.
In the latest mock from our Christian D’Andrea — a top-five mini-mock — he had Hunter being taken No. 4 overall by the New England Patriots, with Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders and LSU OT Will Campbell taken No. 3.
In the latest NFL mock draft from CBS Sports, that’s the case with Hunter — Josh Edwards has the Patriots grabbing Hunter at No. 4, which would be really nice value there. Here’s his take on why:
The expectation is that most teams will prefer Travis Hunter at cornerback, but he has the talent to appear in some wide receiver packages as well. New England needs to supplement the offensive core, so it would not be a surprise if the Patriots favored a full-time player like Tetairoa McMillan.
