Mics picked up Jalen Hurts telling Saquon Barkley that he was the missing piece in the Eagles' Super Bowl run

Two years ago, the Eagles fell to the Chiefs in an absolute heartbreaker at the Super Bowl. But two years ago, they didn’t have Saquon Barkley.

Barkley — who was traded in the offseason from the NFC East rival Giants — instantly elevated the Eagles to a Super Bowl contender. And though Barkley was mostly quiet in Philadelphia’s dominant Super Bowl 59 win, that impact was undeniable.

Jalen Hurts made sure to let Barkley know that.

As the game was well at hand for the Eagles, NFL Films picked up an awesome mic’d-up exchange between Hurts and Barkley. The Eagles quarterback wanted Barkley to know that he was the missing piece that led to this Super Bowl run. Look away, Giants fans.
