Alex Rodriguez actually hit a half-court shot to win $10,000 for a Bucknell student
Alex Rodriguez wouldn’t have been my first pick of former athletes to take a half-court shot to win $10,000 on my behalf, but sometimes you have to roll with what you got and Rodriguez was the athlete on hand Sunday at Bucknell.
The former MLB star was more than good enough.
Rodriguez nailed the half-court heave, banking it off the glass to a loud applause from the crowd. The student, who probably just paid off a loan or two, couldn’t have been more excited, jumping into A-Rod’s arms and celebrating all over the court.
Just a casual Sunday afternoon for Alex Rodriguez… here he is banking in a half court shot to win 10K for a Bucknell Student

Maybe that’s a good omen for the Minnesota Timberwolves after arbitrators ruled in favor of Rodriguez becoming a majority owner two weeks ago.
