McDonald’s Debuting Crispy New Sandwich This Week
All U.S. McDonald's locations will debut a new spicy and crispy sandwich on April 17.
McDonald’s is adding a new sandwich to its menus beginning on April 17, but it will only be available for a limited time, Parade reported.
The Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy is an updated version of the original Bacon Ranch McCrispy, which debuted last spring. McDonald’s describes the spicy new offering as “stacked with a southern-style fried chicken filet and bold, applewood smoked bacon” with crinkle-cut pickles and “finished with a creamy Cajun ranch sauce on the top and bottom of a warm, toasted potato roll.”
A “Deluxe” version of the sandwich also comes with shredded lettuce and Roma tomatoes.
It’s just the latest in the McCrispy line of sandwiches, which in addition to the Bacon Ranch McCrispy also includes the original McCrispy and the Spicy McCrispy.
The Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy will be available at all U.S. McDonald’s locations on Wednesday, April 17. It’s unclear at this point if the chain plans to roll out the sandwich on any of its international menus.
Some fans in other countries were cross that they may not have a chance to try the hotly desired new item; but considering all of the international menu items Americans will never see, it doesn’t seem terribly unfair.
The Bacon Cajun Ranch McCrispy is the latest in a series of major menu overhauls for McDonald’s in the last few months. It recently reintroduced Spicy Chicken McNuggets for a limited time, which pair nicely with its new anime-inspired Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce.
The chain also brought back the breakfast wrap and coveted bagel breakfast sandwiches. For dessert lovers, McDonald’s also returned its beloved Strawberry & Créme Pie and McCafé Oreo Frappé to menus. The chain also announced that it would begin serving Krispy Kreme donuts, delivered fresh daily, at all of its U.S. locations by the end of 2026.
In its biggest changes, McDonald’s debuted Starbucks-competitor CosMc’s. The two U.S. locations, in Illinois and Texas, feature a huge variety of new drink, snack, and sandwich options, including some imports from international McDonald’s menus.
